School Improvement Team

Our School Improvement Team (SIT) mission is to prepare each student to be a successful and responsible member of society.

Attached below is our current School Improvement Plan for the 2011-2012 school year. Our goals are aligned to the North Smithfield School District Strategic Plan. We are committed to increasing student achievement in all academic areas, integrating the use of current technologies, and incorporating sound, research-based Classroom Instruction That Works strategies for strong teaching and learning.

Halliwell Recorder Concert

Infoworks

The Rhode Island Department of Education has developed a user-friendly data based website (Infoworks) to keep all stakeholders informed about how RI schools and districts are performing. We use this data on a regular basis to make decisions about student programming and the development of the district’s Strategic Plan, as well as, individual School Improvement Plans. We encourage you to take a look at North Smithfield Schools’ data. We are very proud of our accomplishments and improvements over the last few years and are dedicated to continued improvement.
