NECAP Results

Fall 2011 NECAP results will be sent home with students to their parents on Thursday, February 16, 2012. We are very pleased with our students' performance. Our student achievement continues to rise in Reading, Math and Writing. A joint effort combining curriculum-based instruction, research-based strategies, strong home/school connection and differentiation of instruction is keeping our focus on increased student proficiency. Jarrod Dube School Spelling Bee Champion

Congratulations to our School Spelling Bee Champion, Jarrod Dube, from Mrs. Monica Maroney's grade 5 classroom. Jarrod will represent Halliwell Memorial School at the District Spelling Bee to be held at NSMS on February 10. Best of luck to Jarrod!

The Rhode Island Department of Education has developed a user-friendly data based website (Infoworks) to keep all stakeholders informed about how RI schools and districts are performing. We use this data on a regular basis to make decisions about student programming and the development of the district’s Strategic Plan, as well as, individual School Improvement Plans.
